Paul Nicholson began competing with Metal Militia in 2003, over 21 years ago making him the most senior brother to be inducted in to this class. Paul boasts an impressive powerlifting total of 1,885 lbs at a body weight of 198 lbs. Despite recent injuries, Paul’s commitment to Metal Militia has remained unwavering. He continues to use his extensive knowledge to help his teammates improve. His selfless dedication has profoundly influenced younger members of the NY Chapter. In addition, Paul has been a caretaker of the Metal Militia Clubhouse since it was established. I have personally relied on Paul as a sounding board for many of the ideas that have been implemented into this club. For all these reasons and more, Pauls devotion to help others succeed makes him a deserving recipient of the Iron Pillar Award.
